How to join Meridian Hiking Club

Meridian welcomes anybody with an interest in hiking. Membership is open to anyone over the age of eighteen.

Membership fees

The membership fee is R250 per annum (March to February). Children under 18 do not become members but may join their parents on suitable hikes – after consultation with the hike leader.

To join Meridian right now:

Please fill in your details on the form below and press the Join button.

The membership secretary will then contact you with further details of payment. After you have sent proof of payment, you will receive an email with your new membership number.

All events/hikes are advertised on Meetup. If you wish to find out more about an event beforehand, please contact the event coordinator, whose name and contact details are published on the event. There is a guest fee for non-members on day hikes and also for weekend events and trails.

Supper club, pub evenings and other social events are great opportunities to meet other club members and share experiences.

Members do get first preference in booking for trails and weekends away, but non-members can also book if there is space. If it is a trail, the trail coordinator needs to be convinced that fitness requirements are met.

We look forward to having you as a member of our club!
