Event header: Cape Point / Olifantsbos
Event date: Saturday, 15 January 2022
Event description:

We will be combining the Shipwreck and the Sirkelsvlei trails. Starting from Oifantsbos we walk along the coast past various historic shipwrecks then proceed inland and go in the direction of Sirkelsvlei lake doing about three quarters of this circuit then past Koggelman Arch back to Olifantsbos.

Duration 3 - 4 hours, easy walk about 10km.

NB!!! Since there are troops of baboons living in this area we want to be a big enough group of at least 15 people in order to do this hike.

It has been advised to not bring food on these trails as this attracts the baboons so rather eat before the hike or join in for a braai / picnic afterwards.

Fees are as follows: R30 guest fee for non Meridian Hiking club attendees.

Entry to Cape Point nature Reserve: R90 on production of your SA ID book / R180 for SADC Nationals / R360 Standard fee.

This is a covid compliant event.

Please contact Ashley on hikes@ashbia.co.za for bookings and payment details for fees.
