Walk up from the car park to the waterfall and down on the Kirstenbosch side back to the cars.
This is a fairly steep climb through humid forest so a good degree of fitness is required.
Bring water, snacks, hat, sunblock and R20 guest fee if not a member of the Meridian Hiking Club.
This hike is not suitable to dogs.

Walk through the Gardens enjoying the outdoors and great company. Entrance for over 60s is free (bring your ID as proof) - all others pay the R75 fee for adults. R20 guest fee for non Meridian Hiking Club members.

We return to the Kogelberg Nature Reserve to do a second hike in our series of trails in this beautiful area of the Western Cape. The trail follows the river where swimming is possible in some of the first few pools. The incredible scenery and floral wonders make this walk very worthwhile.

The hike begins at Tafelberg Road and we will hike up Platteklip Gorge to the upper cable station. We will then take the Echo Valley route to Hely Hutchonson dam from where we will pass the other dams on Table Mountain eventually making our way to the Overseers Cottage. We will then continue on the Jeep Track down Constantia Nek to the parking lot. More... |

Must be downhill fit for a 3 hour descent and able to carry your own pack for 6 days. What you take in is what you bring out.
There are 8 permits but only two places available now.
